MFGG Kart, First things first...

This game will resemble Smash MFGG by mamaluigi, but it will instead be a Mario Kart game, with Mario Kart features, and possibly some extra stuff. But before I get started, I need a few things first:

-Character Sprites
-Character Ideas
-Course tilesets
-Item ideas
-Course Ideas

That's my list so far. Anyone feeling to help out?

Wouldn't character ideas basically be people who WANT to be in the game?

The biggest problem here though is the fact that probably no one here has made Mario Cart template.....

Well, I hope that it's people who want to be in the game, because I looked at this thread and started making my character Mario Kart sprites. Are you allowed to edit the sprites of an existing character since I can't make custom Mario Kart sprites, they're too hard to make(for me, I can make other customs though).

It'll most likely be for well-known members, AKA, people who post often, and contribute quite a bit.

Yeah, that makes sense, but little known members might get in if there's a lack of volunteers...I hope.

EDIT: Since I might be the last poster for a while, I guess I'll give some ideas.

1. Give every character their own victory theme for when they win.
2. Make the ice flower from SMG an item, which would let you drive over water and possibly freeze other opponents.
3. Try remaking a level from the 2d games as a test first, so you don't spend ages and ages trying to find a tileset before you get basic stuff done. Besides, most Mario Kart games have level remakes anyways.
4. If you have lots and lots of trouble getting people to allow their characters to be in your game, add some actual Mario characters as well.

As Soiyeruda said, only well known people will be in it, and character ideas was another word for voulenteers. I'm trying to avoid Mario Items/characters/courses being in the game. But to anyone that reads this, you may edit from other existing chars if you want.

If you want Item Ideas, try taking Items from the Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing Series and Editing them for a few items. :P

The amount of volunteers is dependant upon each's person's opinion on whether they think a game will actually make it to the end. Some people joined MFGG Bros or w/e mostly for the heck of it. There would have been more volunteers, but Mama Luigi's reputation of not finishing his games turned some people off. Not that it's happening now....

Yeah. But if you voulenteered, you could make it in because you have such a high post count for such little time. You've replied in nearly all my topics.

Actually, no-one that originally wanted to be in the game is in now, except for Mewizkuit.
Since almost everyone who wanted in was new, eventually I just decided that it's not worth it and stuck to PM's.
So Black Boo, make sure that no-one you don't know of wasn't here that long is in.
You have to have an iron fist, and if an 08er or 07er (Oh my how ironic) asks if they can be in, tell them to **** off.

Well, I may just go by:

1. Decent membership time
2. Decent badge count
3. Decent post count
4. Well enough recognition around the forums.

You need to fit 2-4 of the criteria.


But seriously. This topic was meant to get volenteers and sprites. I have a few good ideas for items already.

I knew I wouldn't fit. I'm trying to help alot of People with Game Maker right now, althought I'm a bit of a Novice and not an Expert. Lol. If you ever need help, feel free to ask me!

What the hell, 157 posts isn't a decent post count.

Well, in my book, 150 is cutting it close to undecent. A good decent is around 300.

157 is actually barely anything. I came like 2 weeks later, and my post count is 6 times as much.....

I know OniLink, but not THAT much.

EDIT: 300 isn't much either. Well, it is, but that's easily accumulated within 3 months.

How will you go about making the game.

A lot of people have kart templates because this idea has been done to death, then canned to death. Good luck with this, but I have absolutely no faith in this whatsoever. I highly believe 100% this will get canned and not much work will get done on it, save requests from other members.
