As far as I know, it's 1 week for Sprite Comps, 2 for Drawing Comps, and 3 for Minigame Comps.

Looks like faulty logic to me.

If people procrastinate until the last day, it's their own fault. What about people who like to spend additional time trying to improve what they've already got, or are intimidated by the shorter deadline? 2 weeks was the accepted norm and it apparently worked well considering we're up to #82.
