Mfgg can't seem to go a year without a nameable event.

But this one just trumps the others in just pure stupidity. I mean, I can't even say how I feel about this because I'm just embarrassed at the immaturity expressed by many of the members for this "controversy". It's just stupid, my god. Who the **** cares about PMs? If anything was too personal for this board it'd be done through AIM or email.

All I can say... I've been frequenting MFGG since I was 14, and I'm about to turn 20 in less than 2 months. It seems as I've grown up, this fourm has grown down. We actually had decent topics in the PPP before. Now the CCC has Topics that wouldn't be accepted in the PPP of the Ezboards.

I wasn't around for the SFGHQ Vs MFGG War, but from what I've gathered about it is that even The Games Factory libs were made anit-sfghq (Neo Hyper Yoshi made quite a few if I recall correctly) So I can only compare this event to the whole CCC closing thing headlined by Jas. People seemed to be much more understanding and forgiving back then, and that wasn't too long ago.

So maybe Yoshiman did something wrong, so what? I'm sure quite a few people have had at least 1 warn for doing something bad before. Heck, I've even managed to bypass a ban once by changing the file but keeping the same filename for a picture I had in my sig. I've been banned and warned quite a few times before, I even got warns on all of my accounts when more than 1 account was allowed when I broke the rules on just 1 account. I'm sure many other people have been warned for worse things than I did, but I'm not convinced Yoshiman did anything wrong, as he had access, so he could do as he pleased. I for one, have nothing to hide in my PMs.

This has gone on long enough, people need to stop being immature little children and just let this go. It's just crazy how long this has been going on for. This is a Mario Fan-game forum, and I intend to do anything related to Nintendo to contribute to the Community. I love playing Video games, and that is what I intend to do as I visit these forums. Be it Fan-games or Official games. In the end, we all aren't really accomplishing much by bickering at each other, so please.....

JUST STOP THIS, PLEASE!

I suppose this was implied, but not precisely said in my first post.

I said I was looking for ones that wouldn't directly communicate with me about what problems they had with me, even though they always made it evident that they didn't like things I did.

This doesn't mean I was looking at everyone's, I still trust the rest of you, and that's a lot of members to trust.

You know, I really think we can say this as much as we want, but Nightwing and the others won't care.

It's like he doesn't even want blood for the sake of justice anymore. He wants blood for the sake of blood.

Okay I think people got the message that we should leave YoshiMan alone. No need to repeat it (in different words) now.

It's funny how this whole thing blew way out of proportion and I doubt only a few members were involved in that, but it seems that almost every member here now is sticking up for him even though I think it is/was some of them causing this.

I have no idea if this makes any sense.

It's not even a question of who's sticking up for Yoshiman anymore. It's about whether or not keeping this drama circus up for this long was even necessary.

We got the point.
  • Yoshiman screwed up by acting on a personal whim.
  • People are displeased (more aptly, outraged). That's fine. It's natural.
  • The administration already did what it was going to do. People are still displeased. That's fine. This is MFGG. No one here is pleased with anything.
  • Making a big show about it over a stretch of two days just for ePeepee stroking and causing needless hatred to spread across the forums? Not fine.

And I still hold to the fact that despite this being a higherup having done this, it's comparatively insignificant when placed next to other things that have happened on the forums. I don't like it when people snoop through my mail, but it's not like I'm trafficing crack through it or carrying on correspondences with terrorist groups through it, so why the hell should I make an enormous stink about it?

If the fact that Yoshiman looked at some of your PMs is making you feel uncomfortable, you have a right to your discomfort, but it's not enough to practically ****stain him left and right across the forums, especially when RII has explicitly stated that the cause of the problem itself has been eliminated.

It's still invading privacy no matter how you look at it, internet or not. And he shouldn't be getting away with this lightly.

I personally am not worried in the least because I use emails and such for personal things not over a message system on a forum, and I am trying not to take sides here, but... :/ This should be locked now, everyone knows what happened, doesn't need to be dragged any further.

People have gotten away with murder in the past, so I don't understand why all of a sudden MFGG finally decides it's high time to throw someone in the clink.

Quit trying to compare this to anything that has to do with a rule of law, it's almost as bad as posting the LOLimages that are floating around.

I just don't understand the difficulty people have in figuring it all out, perhaps what really is missing is just they don't think they were affected, but ROFL that ain't true

There's always one person, like i've said that looks out of place and crafty, and it's not even proven to be true that Yoshiman has read everyone's PM's- all that useless information goes a long IQ drop D=

And the thing is, even if they did find "dirt" on anyone, they can't ban you for it untill you do something in the forum, i know NO case where someone's been banned for a Problematic PM so far- and i don't think there ever can or will be.

It has been done before, when a PM contained something very offensive or disgusting. Also PMs containing ROMs are not allowed. Uber n00ber got banned once for sending disgusting images in a PM to a member, but RII gave out that ban, not Yoshiman, and the ban seemed entirely justified to me. I assume the ban only came about because of a report, anyhow.

But I don't actually recall Yoshiman ever banning someone for a PM-related reason, and it's certain he didn't do it because of some PM in the downloaded database.

Just making a correction; I agree with your basic ideas stated here.

Well, by what i said i meant via PM snooping like

"You flamed me in a PM, 12 days" type thing, of course people report PMs that are of an offensive nature, like images, and or rule breaking specifics (Roms, as your example stated)

The matter of Duckboy is separate altogether. How was he even supposedly "finding dirt" on anyone? He had nothing to do with that; what he was doing was making light of the entire situation, which if you ask me was something the situation more or less called for, though he may have stepped over the line.

Mugen was banned for dupes.

And the only reason you got banned is because you wanted to make a big deal out of the "dirt" you revealed so publicly, also it says Flaming, in your log.

You got banned for outright flaming me two times in a post on the forum, and I didn't even mention all the flaming you did in the topic.

Then Mugen proceeded to flame me three times in a row in said topic, not to mention the dupes he created there-after.

And... okay, forget it. I've explained your guys' bans several times already, there's a topic for Duckboy's ban, I'm quite sick of repeating things over and over. I was originally going to lock this, but I decided to let some discussion happen. Now that it has, because again, points are just being repeated, it's time for a lock.

Also, Nightwing, this is your cue to go tell others over AIM or whatever your means of communication are that "Yoshiman locked another topic with his final words again, what a moron, eh?"
