How it works: - Grab a partner
- Get skype if you wish (optional, you could use MSN but crucial minutes could be lost!
- Decide on a theme
- Post your Start time and Finish time upto 15 minutes before beginning
- use the 15 minutes prior to get your programs open, sprites ready.
- at your time, the leader (organiser) of the match will say GO and your 2 hours begin
- Once finished, upload and post them- Within at least 10 minutes of each other (or ask one of you to post both)
What you need: - A partner
- 2 hours, 15 minutes of time
- 2 Hours to make the game, 15 minutes to prepare work.
- Skype or any type of chat (so that you can remain in contact with your opponent!
- Skill
- And finnaly, patience.
in summary, 2 hours, 15 minutes in total- you use 15 minutes to sort out your sprites (ie- make your materials ready to use) and then 2 hours to assemble and program. Once complete, after 2 hours, tell your opponent to finish what they are doing- only that tiny bit, then save, close, send the file and upload and post. Then, people will judge the winner and they will be all happy and stuff, then a new group has a go at it. (ie) P1: Hey, i've got my stuff ready? you? P2: Yep, i'm ready.
P1: And in that case... GO *insert game making here*
As opposed to: P1: Aw crap i haven't prepared P2: Me neither P1: Well, according to the rules, we have an extra 15 minutes to get everything ready!
Crucial minutes could be lost when using MSN because, well, talking keeps your hands free so you can keep on programming while talking- Typing uses up iddy biddy bits of time.

Alright. Didn't think about the talking thing. But MSN has webcam mode, so yea. Should work too. And you could also just not chat during the comp except for "start" and "finish", which people without a microphone are bound to.

i would do it, but the only time I have 2 hours of free time is kinda late at night. Then I'm not usualyl focused on anything.
