QUOTE (Lightning @ May 12 2008, 03:55 PM)
I go to sleep when I'm tired and wake up when I'm not
as a result my sleep patterns don't always match up with everyone else's schedules

when I try to force myself up with an alarm clock or something it only works the first 5 or so times, then my subconscious learns how to turn it off without disturbing my consciousness
for instance, my alarm clock is way the hell across the room from my bed, on top of my desk. when it goes off, I walk over to it and turn it off, walk back to bed and lay down, all without waking up.

More often than not my dreams have a way of incorporating the alarm clock so I also don't respond to it. Except my subconscious keeps hitting the snooze button instead.

Strangely though my subconscious also knows how many times it can get away with hitting the snooze button before I'm actually screwed. ... usually ... it's not foolproof.

Just do what I do. Set a alarm on your cell phone. Have it be some crazy song. Wakes me up everytime becuase you have to press "snooze," after you open the phone. And the bright light my phone makes wakes me up. Hell, the fact that it's Hare Hare Yukai playing, wakes me up.

It's not really a fear of sleeping, it's fear that you're gonna wake up and go "****... that's not 8am"

I don't have any trouble waking up, but going to sleep is a nightmare, i somehow manage to live off an average of 3-4 hours sleep a day.

I can understand that, I was only imagining a same type of fear like that of spiders or something average but aimed at sleeping.

3-4?! I envy you mad.gif

i'd probably do this except hare hare yukai or other crazy songs playing would be awkward as hell to explain to everyone else in the house

also i always sleep for really small amounts of time, or really long amounts of time

it isn't the best thing ever. especially because alarm clocks have no effect on me.
