I often get stuck in walls,I see you donīt use any masks.Also a few things:
-Goombas only look into one direction while walking
-Movement screws up by pressing Left and right at the same time
-bad view(seeing what is underneath you is impossible,and players want to know where they should jump)
-Badly stretched sprites

Hey, guess what- He wasn't talking about Mario's sprites.
You've got badly clashing sprites, mixed bittages, bad gameplay, many glitches and a terrible background.

Unofficial sequels to an official game do not tend to pan out well because the game industry loves sequels

Chances are Nintendo will probably make a Super Paper Mario 2 eventually

And the HUD seriously needs some reworking. sad.gif

It's a fangame so it doesn't have to go with SPM2 when or if Nintendo makes one. However I probably will change the title anyway. Oh yeah:
Rooms now have bigger views making it easier to see above and below you.
I have new (custom) tiles for the ground.
It's harder to get stuck in a wall now.
The Goombas have left and right sprites now.

These and no ivincibility time after getting hit is a nono.

EDIT: and so is Mario's shaking walking animation.

You only fixed the view and the enemys.

You still can get stuck in walls.
You donīt use any masks.
The sprites are still stretched.
The background is horrible to look at,make it 60 fps.

I fell I did a bad job on this (and so do some others). So I'm starting this over and making it Super Paper Luigi. Now should this be locked and I make a new one? Or just continue on this thread?

I would keep this thread and just edit your original post.

And don't get too downhearted by MFGG's members who are a little too harsh/blunt with their observations. I am on my Wii and thusly cannot play your game, but I will offer advice as best as I can.

As it has been noted, you sprites clash. To help prevent this, try using sprites that all come from the same game. If the game lacks something you need, study the game's graphical style (namely: the colors used, the light source, and how the sprites are shaded). If you must mix graphics, make sure to chooses graphics that complement each other. You may need to edit a little bit or recolor some.

For the wall glitches, use a mask. To do this, make a solid black box the size of Mario. Set the space around the blockaders as trasparent. In Mario's object window, there will be a check box labeled "solid". Make sure Mario is NOT solid, and then look down a bit. There will be a drop-menu labled "mask". Select the sprite of the box you made.
