could the reason that you didn't win be that the sprite isn't very good?

the shading is off and there is not enough contrast

Sorry, but these are not going to be submitted, I can tell you that.

There is enough but the shape, shading, colors and overall quality is bad.
Plus, it's in a seperate style, who would use this style?

What I hate is the fact that people insist on making non goomba characters have Rayman styled feet! Rayman, if you don't know, has no arms, or legs. His feet just float in the air, and that's the same thing with your toad.
