Generally, This avatar sorta represents what I am in real life. I'm not incredibly cte cute looking like what I drew, but it a way yes. The thinwaste represents my thin waist. Well, technically, one side is like thin thin, but the other isn't, but you get the picture.
Small eyes are generally for teens and up. If it's like a child or something, then the eyes are normally bigger, even on boys. If I do small eyes, they always come out weird. No matter how many pictures of male eyes I try to copy, and no matter how many times I try, they always come out weird and girl-ish.
I don't practice drawing anything past Chibi. I'd love to, but I don't have the patience to do so.....
Now, can we please try to focus on the quality, and not the gender please? I GET THE POINT that my drawings are girly.....

You know, if you try to justify every flaw in your art, you will NEVER improve. Take it from someone who's taken a shot to the ribs at least once whenever/wherever he posts his work.
-About the waist, okay, you have a thin waist in real life. That makes sense. Regardless, you gave your character bigger hips. Guys don't have hips bigger than their waists. Girls do, however, and that's what everyone is pointing out. Because you underemphasized the waist and overemphasized the hips, you look like you have an effeminate figure. I don't think having what looks like an inner tube for a belt is going to help you much either.
-About the eyes, it does not matter if a character is male or female, five years old or 15 years old, or super-deformed, girls and boys in manga and manga-style drawing will ALWAYS have distinct eyes. Don't make up stuff about how small eyes are for teenagers and up. There are anime out there in which even some of the adult characters have larger eyes than normal. Practice on them, and stop using "I tried, but failed" as an excuse for not being willing to practice.
-About not drawing anything beyond chibis, learn the patience. It will help you in the long run with your drawings.
That's really all that needs to be said.
tl;dr stop justifying your mistakes, if you see a huge enough problem with it, don't let it sit there, learn some patience, etc
