| QUOTE (Xloce @ May 19 2008, 07:39 AM) | Yeah, I'm worried because my step-dad is ready to sign me up for the airforce the SECOND I turn 18, even though regardless I want to go through ROTC in college before I join. Then he tells me the Marines will do me good.
You tell me how to get out of this situation. He's pretty disconsolate, so if ya guys have any ideas do tell. |
Tell him that it's your life, and he has no right to screw it up if you don't want him to. Remember, YOU'RE the one who signs the contract, not him.
Anyway, turning 18 will probably be more of a developmental milestone. I may end up living at college, since I will probably end up out of state, then move back and get a home uncomfortably close to my parents or stepparents, or move to Santa Fe, which is still pretty close, but since it's like, the art capital of the Southwest, meh.
Anyway Mason, I'm sure you'll come up with a soloution, even if it means resorting to transitional living until you can get your feet on the ground.

Have a nice day.
