I liked it, yeah. Prefer Doctor Who, but Torchwood was interesting. Confirmed a 3rd season too according to The Wikipedia, so whoo!

My analogy is basically
let "1" = Doctor Who, Ocarina of Time
let "2" = Torchwood, Majora's Mask

1 is broader in scope than 2
1 involves time-travel on a larger scale than 2
2 is much "darker" and more domestic than 1
2 fleshes out some concepts that were relatively minor in 1
1 involves more adventure, 2 stays closer to home and involves strange happenings at the present
2 is a bit shorter, but has a greater number of significant/recurring characters
