But you see, most of your offenses were committed before the verbal warning system, and therefore my statements don't apply to them. If I recall correctly, as long as the CCC has existed the verbal warning system has been in place.

I'm pretty sure your last ban was after the system was put into place, but quite honestly, without meaning to get on a "high horse" or anything, that flame sounded quite deliberate and out of nowhere, and therefore would probably fall into the class of bans that didn't require a verbal warning beforehand.

I don't know about some of your earlier warns. I would not consider it impossible that you got one or more bans after the policy began when you should have just gotten warnings instead (I don't know how many of your bans were post-verbal-warning-system), but that would have been the fault of the individual mods making the decisions, not of the policy itself.

No, sorry. No one made you create dupes. That was your own doing, and you had stuff coming to you for doing it.

Again, not meaning to come off as arrogant, or like I'm on a high horse. I freely admit that I've behaved crappily myself on here in the past, and possibly should have gotten banned at certain times, but didn't.

If the CCC is your _ONLY_ reason to be here, as in you don't even have the slightest interest in GC-worthy discussion, then you probably shouldn't be here. There's been plenty of talk in the past of removing the PPP/CCC entirely, and what would you do then? Would that be like permabanning everyone?

The CCC/PPP has a reputation for fostering stupidity. If it didn't, we wouldn't have any such restriction to begin with.

I still think the old warning system should be set back in place for minor stuff. While instant bans exist for the more serious stuff.

Baconson was originally called Backins. He broke two or more rules in a short time span after joining, including by posting porn apparently, and got a long ban. Then he created at least three dupes and Trasher perma'd him. Klobber let him back in later. I do not pretend to know anything that went on behind the scenes.

Hold up, did I ever say the CCC is the only reason I'm here? No. Did I imply it? Not really, no. Do I think it's total bull**** that if you get one ban you're gone for two months? Yes.

If losing CCC access, and only CCC access, for 2 months, is the equivalent of being permabanned, then YES, you are implying that it is the only reason you come here.

Yeah the mods totally held a gun to your head and shouted "MAKE A DUPE SO'S I CAN BAN YOU SOME MORE YEAH YEAH A'IGHT"

Nothing made you make dupes and this just proves that you probably deserve what you get

Hold it, though, just because someone posts casually doesn't mean they don't post in other boards. Getting a place to talk rather casually taken away from them over one ban, and for something rather minor, does seem pretty unfair. I personally don't mind it but I can see why others might.

PS, I don't like the idea of hidden forums because people like to talk about other people behind their backs.

Oh Wait, I thought that if you get banned for something you're banned from MFGG two months not the CCC. Maybe I skipped a paragraph or two.....


Even then though, two months is still a long time. There should at least be a way for non-casuals to view the CCC. Except no posting

They would probably get banned if they did that, and have their offenses revealed in the public Ban List.

I hate it when people talk behind others' backs, and if I saw any of it going on in the CCC, I know I wouldn't just sit there.

I've already said this plus the fact that it's almost ****ING SUMMER up in the Northern Hemisphere

If anything the Northerners shouldn't be here and all the Southerners should be all "hey 'sup so how 'bout them heavy snow drifts"

So if you live in the North

MFGG is off-limits

A lot of stuff already goes unnoticed on MFGG so I don't doubt that a lot of that will go unnoticed too.

So how about that there Grant feller eh

Anyway...

The public Ban List might actually fuel talking behind someone's back.

Someone gets ban'd, they have to leave the CCC, the gossipers start attacking them.

It's a vicious cycle.

Then again, I could just be being cynical right now, but this is MFGG, so hey.

I notice a lot. And I'd bring it to the attention of the mods if something like that happened and I saw it.

If the mods ignored it, I'd bring it to the admin(s).

I encourage others to do the same. :|
