Ooooh, ah, whoops, I dunno how I got that switched! Well, it's like my teachers say: When you're not active in something, you get bored. You get bored, then you'll cause trouble. That isn't really true here, but we can still heed that advice. And it wouldn't hurt to just try something, would it?

I'm going to put this into a real-world example from my local town and use that to interpret what BS is actually saying.
There is a church in the middle of town, it was built over a hundred years ago and generations of the same families have been coming to this church to worship. However this church is not a charter church, and so there is some flexibility in how this church operates. Over the course of 10-15 years, a large number of liberal migrants begin to frequent the church. They begin to show up in such large numbers that they become the church majority, and so they transform the services that the church actually provides. Now it's politically incorrect to talk about God and Jesus, and the church should be a venue to support homosexuality and other ideas that Christian churches generally frown upon (I am making no personal statement on whether this is right or wrong). The generations that have been participating in this church are now forced to alter their beliefs, or leave. In fact, they do leave.
The problem, from the perspective of the old families, is that by democratic process, the church has catered to the wishes of the new majority and lost the values that it was originally founded upon.
I assume BS's argument works in a similar way, in that he is defending the old values from eventually being lost by not catering to the wishes of members who are here for other reasons. I DON'T think he is saying that you should be treated badly or forced to leave (though if he does think that, I do not agree with it), but I think he is saying that even if your group is the majority, you should not be the group deciding what kind of board MFGG should be.
