You might as well remove all the boards except fangame discussion if you want a board that focuses on that.


This casual system needs major fixing for it to be good


First off the fact that you can't even view the boards if you are a non casual. I have no idea why this even ****ing affects the quality of posts if it's shown or not. I've heard the excuse "CCC is like a privilege and a prize for good posters it should kept hidden for all those not worthy of it" what kind of ****ing excuse is this, to not even be allowed to view the board, you know without the non-casuals that place is a lame board and you hide that truth to attempt to fool posters into better behavior so they can be disappointed. I remember when I got casual I was severely disappointed, none of the cool members were on so all it was was generally chat but you can go "fdfsdffsdfsdfsdf xD random!" without it being considered spam. You should at least give non casuals to view the board to see if the prize is worth the effort.

My second gripe about it is that one ****ing mistake and you are outta there for three mother****ing long months. THREE MOTHER****ING LONG MONTHS. That makes me mad to no end. "that'll teach your lesson for disrespecting the rules hurrr"

I also love how you call your own community stupid and the ****ing fact that your plans don't have the what the general community in mind but what you and some grouchy oldbies do.

Casuals will disagree with me here because they have nothing to complain about since they are already casuals.

and haha at the thought "make your own forum if you don't like our ways". it never ****ing works out because we can't magically generate a decent amount of active users at most it'll be active for a week and die it's been done a billion times and it never EVER ****ing worked out.

I know what I'm saying isn't going to change anything because of some hardheaded fools but I just wanted to give my word on it.

But yeah, this place would get boring quick if it was strict fan-game discussion only(Hey we sorta tried the fangame only thing before if you'll remember).

Why not uh, I dunno, only kick them out every THREE bans?

Or something depending mostly on the severity of the offense, if they're proving to be a REALLY problematic user than giving them a couple months away from it is a good idea, but EVERY ban? Come on.

It's not that hard to not get banned, to be honest.

I don't really complain because I hardly ever stray outside Fangame Discussion and the Arts Board, even if I am a Casual Member.

If you can't handle the rules, which have been set up to help keep the community running smoothly, then you're better off leaving, because honestly, one of the conditions of joining the board is following the rules the administrators lay down.

I think there's even a clause that says the rules may be subject to change with or without warning, though I've not checked the rules in a while.

Also, it's an Internet forum. If you're getting pissed off at an Internet forum which you can just up and leave at any given moment if you're dissatisfied, then it's probably best that you do.

Also the fact is that fangaming is like a minority here right now even admitted by you admins, then ask me this , why should the majority of the board change so minority could be pleased. Becaused it's a fangaming community ? Well guess what did you for get the comminuty part? It doesn't mean everyone here is here for the fangaming part but the community part. Just a big comminuty is a good enough reason for anyone to join since it's big and mario related, it can't be bad even if you aren't a fangamer. Now a friends told me this was a good place compared to the last place I went to so I joined. And it was, until this.

Also you gotta love this attitude: "these people give that he had nothing to contribute to the site, he is a bad member" Most of you fangamers have this attitude, well guess what he didn't join to appease you. It's quite selfish indeed. Stop thinking about yourselves, fangamers, and think about the other members for a change.

Well guess what I like this place, why should I leave because of some rules put to get rid of me? it isn't fair at all.

I am an artist but no one pays attention to my art so I rarely post it because I can't get the critique needed to improve !

The rules aren't meant to get rid of you, they're meant to make sure that the community doesn't completely break down into nothing but spam and flame-wars, and, eventually, cause the forums to be closed.

If you can't follow some simple guidelines, then it's your problem, not the staff's.

Sorry for double post, if it turns out I do if nobody posts between now and my previous post, but I missed this post.

Yes, we are a fangaming community. However, I agree with you for the most part on this. The forum shouldn't change because we fangamers want it to to our favor. In fact, the forum pretty much is in our favor anyway, because Fangame Discussion is near the top of the forum list, and it's there in the first place. I really don't think we need anything more.

I'd also like to throw in some words of my own.

The so-called "non-contributers" actually contribute in their own ways. Think of how many fads we have had, and how many games have evolved from those fads. Without non-fangamers, we might not have some of the great games in the Fangame Discussion right now.

However, I disagree that all fangamers have the attitude that non-contributers are poor members. There's a lot of members here who are great despite them not joining in the site's main focus. And I'm sure many other fangamers would agree with me.
