You cannot convert .wavs into .mids because .mid files are not "Sound Files", they are Instrument Information Files that have their Data sent to a Synthesizer and the Synthesizer plays the music. And besides, it's better to use .wavs for SFX in Games.

Well, actually, you can, it's just not really a good idea.
