Kill Mario

Wow, took me a while to find how to create a topic ^^

Anyway, here goes:

The story:
"A shyguy once saw all his family get killed by mario. He now seeks revenge. He will kill Mario."

The controls:
-[a] or [right arrow] to move right.
-[w] or [space] or [up arrow] to jump.
-[d] or [left arrow] to move left.
-[escape] to pause or quit game.
-[shift] or [return] to use spear (not available at the beginning of the game)

In the game, you can watch replays of other people, and submit your own.
The game can be compiled for OS X and Linux.
If you want to check the scores people made, you can check it out here (for now, the score board is empty, and that's normal since nobody has played the game). Since the game is still in devellopement, the scores will be reseted regularly)



There, I hope you like it, I haven't had many people test it, so up to now I haven't had much feedback.

Looks amazing, I'll try it out.

Just got the spear, and I must say, this is a sweet game so far! Unfortunately I quit without saving, but the levels I played were fun. It's a very simple game, but it's really enjoyable.

This game is really nice -- it feels very professional

The only complaint I have is that the timing on the spear is a bit off, it would've made more sense just to give you a boost when you're falling down, not the other way around

Great game though, and I really like the concept

That was actually better than I expected.

Only problems are a few unfair deaths on the Goombas, you have to land a little too square on them, and the timer screwed me over when I got to the alter in the second level. I couldn't complete it.

Other than that, though, this is looking to be a pretty good game!

What can I say, besides that there are no trojan in this program?
It would have been an insane waste of time to create this game just to insert a virus...

What (paranoid) antivirus did you use?

AVG, which is a damn good antivirus.

I rarely visit the Fangame Discussiuon anymore, but the topic title made me laugh so I had to check this game out.

Then I discover that the game contains trojans...

This, plus I'm running my own scan with crap-out-of-a-box [insert anti-virus program that sucks here] and I've also got two results, and only two

THE SAME THIS GUY GOT

Oh god, I never thought I would have to convince people that this game is not a virus

I did a little research (ie submitting every files to http://www.virustotal.com/ ), and discovered that it did not like libcurl-4.dll. This file is a well known library, and it used in Kill Mario to submit the scores.

I made a zip without libcurl-4.dll, but it's useless since you need to have libcurl-4.dll...

I guess all this is useless now, there is no way people will want to try this game

Wouldn't it be just because the game has a .dll and also because it is too much suspicious since it is an .EXE with "Kill_" in it's name?

After a little bit of research, I found that:

"libcurl.dll is a common library use by many programs, games, applications, tools, utilities, and probably viruses. It is a very handy library that makes it easy for programs to send and receive data on the internet. I assume some virus or Trojan horse used that library once and now the brain dead virus scanners are flagging it is a problem anytime anyone uses that library.

There is nothing wrong with libcurl.dll. It is a general purpose library that is perfectly safe and is required for many legitimate applications including Ricochet. Kindly tell your anti virus tool to ignore this file. If you allow your anti virus tool to quarantine or delete this file then it will stop the game from working."

Anyway, it doesn't worked to me. It says something like it can't be started and then "(0xc0000022)". I know that could be a WinXP error, but I dunno what to do. And I turned the antivirus off, too.

Wtf, after getting to the 10th level my harddrive started to format itsself. Luckily it only deleted half of the data on my brothers username and not mine.

The game mysteriously exited out around after the "Leap of faith" without saving.

This game is good though.

Am I the only one that doesn´t get a virus warning?Anyways,clicking on KM.exe,the game shows up and immedialy closes.
