What do I use to open a library like the ones on site and if it's downloadable where do I get it?

Thank you!

A little writing guide:

Do not be redundant;do not use more words to express an idea or concept than you really need to use.
Be specific, more or less.
Delete commas,that are,not necessary.
Never use a big word where a diminutive expression would suffice.
Eliminate quotations. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said,'I hate quotations.'

You can open everything in Notepad. You maybe think itīs wrong, but thatīs a programming language.(C++ I think)
Libs or DLL(Dynamic Language Library)are used only by the applications-you donīt have to use them.Itīs like a computer needs the system32 folder.Delete it with all its DLL and your computer is ruined. They are system files that can be used to broaden certain abilities for programs such as MMF2 and GM,which are the most used.

Short:Put them under WINDOWS/system or in the game folder and leave them alone.

QUOTE (Latia @ Jun 2 2008, 03:02 AM)
You can open everything in Notepad.

No, you can't. You can bloody try if you'd like. Getting random, useless garble doesn't really count as opening a file, you see.

Also, Latia's misdirecting you in general.

There are two kinds of library files that MFGG is concerned about.

The *.dll files you will be worrying about are contained in system32, not system. Notable DLL's include the BASS library extension, used for playing Module files (and just about anything else.) Most Klik product games that use BASS will come with its *.dll in the same folder, in which case the game should recognize it when you run it.

Clickteam graphic library files (aka libs) are a different matter entirely. These are placed in the lib folder of one of their Klik products, and will be recognized as long as they are older than the program you are using. For instance, you cannot load a Multimedia Fusion library with The Games Factory, because MMF is a newer program.

Okay, youīre right.Actually you can open anything in Notepad, but the result wonīt be like what you could have expected. And sorry,he said libs on the main site,so I thought he means the DLLs since there are no MMF libs and DLL have Library in their shortcut too.ohmy.gif
