Link to the EXE demo.Alternate link.Mario's Airborne Adventure is a game I've been working on for quite a while. Mario flies through the air (I don't know how, I haven't gotten the story done yet) while dodging, or defeating, enemies. It seems like your average shoot 'em up game at first. But I've been nice enough to add health and coins, 20 different powerups, several enemies, and 10 items, as well as 22 achievements and 3 save files, even an autosave feature. If you want to learn more, play the game. If you need a screenshot, ask me. Enough of that. Here's a list of what's coming up in the next demo: - More enemies (my goal is at least 15-20 enemies)- More achievements (my goal is to get 30 overall achievements... for the next demo)-A shop where you can spend your Pro Points -Story mode with at least one chapter completed (of the first story) - Left and right movement- Change Fire Magikoopa's attack- Known enemies: More Paratroopas, Paragoombas which turn into Parachuting Goombas when they die, Piranha Plants in HUGE pipes, Lakitus- Powerup ability button changed to control, so you don't skip achievement windows without reading them- New coins with higher valuesAnd here's a list of what YOU can do to help! (This isn't going to become some dumb game where I act like I'll make the best game ever and ask you all to make the game for me. I promise.) -Enemy ideas (you get bold purple text in credits) -Inform me about crappy music (bold green text in credits) -Spriting to replace my crappy sprites (bold, italicized, blue text) -Informing me of forgotten or incorrect credit (bold, italicized, underlined, gold text) -Achievement ideas (bold red text) -Story ideas (bold pink text) -Other suggestions (bold white text) -Better title- not the logo, the title (bold, italicized, underlined, blue text) -Bug finding (bold black text) Also, huge thanks to Rapid the Hedgehog for inspiring the creation of this game with his amazing suit sheet. I've probably forgotten something important in the game, like a beta-testing addition I've added so I could test out the game. That happens when I rush to get this released. If you're looking to be confused, make word filters changing all vowels to a certain letter (I suggest to a vowel), all for read-only, and loose. For example, with all vowels turned to "i"...

Pretty cool so far. Like Ultramario said, it would help to be able to move left and right. As for some enemies, here's some ideas off the top of my head: Those Parachuting Goombobs - They'll just gently fall down, swaying back and fourth. Lakitus - You could make them just float around dropping spineys, or have them aim at you like in Yoshi's Island. I think the aiming would be cooler though. Airships - From Super Mario Bros 3. Pirahna Plants/Jumping Pirahna Plants - Maybe some REALLY tall pipes? As for the story, he could be using his Wing Cap to save Peach from Bowser's new castle in the sky. Or something like that. I over use  and  too much!

Personally, while I've "tested" this, I've thought that too. I'll make sure to change that.

I've added this already, so when I release the next demo expect to be able to move freely.

I was thinking some E. Gadd machine would give him flight powers, and since he'd have 20 different powerups the wing cap wouldn't be the best... Castle in the sky, I was thinking about, too. Thanks for the thoughts, though.
Right now my main story idea is... Mario gets flying powers from E. Gadd machine after learning that... yet again Bowser captures Peach and brings her to a castle in the sky. But after rescuing her, something else bad happens... That's my idea for the FIRST chapter, at least.
I'm keeping my addiction to Rise of Legends away long enough to work on this for a long time. Expect the next demo to come fairly soon!

I'll decrease the amount of coins on the next demo to help a bit, but I personally feel the several enemies on screen at once are a good challenge.

I'll add that... in the third demo. Already enough enemies for the second one, and I really want to finish up the story mode, the shop, and the minigames. Don't think I'm rejecting the idea; you'll see it soon. I just can't add ALL the suggestions in one demo or it would never get released.
