| QUOTE (Latia @ Jun 9 2008, 12:33 AM) | Crash course: 1.NEVER open .lib or .gex files in GM,they arenīt games. 2..lib files go in the folder Game_Maker7/lib 3..gex files go in the folder Game_Maker7/extensions 4.To use a .lib file,go to the objectīs event editor, select the new tab and select the action/condition/whatever. 5.To use a .gex file, collapse the resource tree and click Extension packages.Select the extension you want to add to the game, and click the arrow button.
.lib files are like the drag&drop action libraries,.gex files add GML functions. |
That reminds me, the Extension he is trying to open is a .ged. .ged's are UNUSABLE BY ANYONE BUT THE EXTENSION CREATOR! That means he'll have to contact the Extension Creator and let him know.
