Pokémon Scarlet - CANNED, a Pokémon platformer made in Game Maker

I AM NOT GOING TO USE THE CUSTOM POKéMON PLATFORMER SPRITES ON THE SPRITERS RESOURCE FOR THIS GAME!
...just wanted to clear that up. Way too many people have asked me even after I said no.

Yep. Its a platformer. You control your active PKM and the trainer follows them. Your PKM can use attacks, defeat other PKM, get xp, and evolve. You can catch PKM with Pokéballs by throwing them when their HP is low (Trophy Stands in SSE) and then switch between your PKM using 1 through 6. If you go to a PKM Center, you can choose what six PKM you want to have in your party at the time using the box system. All PKM have different abilities that can help you progress in the game (like HMs). For example: You might need to catch a flying PKM in order to get to a high up place.

The game may seem abit boring right now, as all you do is go up the foe and attack back and forth, but that is how PKM games are when both of you only know one move. As you learn more moves, the game becomes more tactical, and if you and your foes get some ranged attacks, the game will have alot of skill as well.

Sorry, but this game has been canned. Unless somebody can give me a good reason to do otherwise, it will remain canned. Thank you and have a nice day.

Looks great Is the Ai going to function via the X value? like moving to the right when it moves in such?
I say Pokemon Scarlet version.
or if it is using the "rock" names i say Pokemon Dolomite version.

I have a feeling I might like this game, as I dont like pokemon as much anymore

The Trainer moves more like the one in Brawl. If you are too far away he tries to get to you. Otherwise he just stands there and cheers.

As for the name, Ive never even heard of Dolomite lol

It's a pinkish rock, you could always try quartz no one has gone for that. Or Insulin or Gallium.
I say the tiles of overworld can easily be edited to fit the platformer style BTW when you get to it.

This would be cool if it was online...

So... Theres not going to be boss battles with legendaries?
And there isn't going to be berries?
Okay, that means there isn't going to be Custom Pokeballs that you made up?
And that means that there's no pokemon that can fly?
So, no Giant Arceus For The Final Boss?

This looks like it could turn out pretty cool! I had an idea like this before. lol

For some reason I like the name Prism.

There WILL be boss battles with legendaries. You can catch them, too.
Im not sure about berries... I could add them as healing items or something.

No, Arceus isn't in this game, sorry.

Ok I made a wild Rattata now. Ill post a demo after I do the following:
-Give PKM healthbars
-Add Pokéballs
-Make Rattata catchable
Add playable Rattata
-Make tall grass for wild PKM to appear in
Make Rattata appear in tall grass

I hope this game is a succesful one unlike those other ones.

PKM can fly, like the HM or actually fly like instead of jumping :P
Because I hope for both of them.

If it's like what I'm thinking...

Make it so that up to a number of wild pokemon can pop out of tall grass and attack you.

Pokemon Scarlet. Bleh. Scarlet? Really, makes it sound so wierd.
And can pokemon swim? In water, and dive. is it sidescroller? or not?
Also, want a name for it? Tourmaline. Seeing not many people here have ever heard of it, and those people who have didn't make a pokemon game its safe to say, It's avalible.

It doesn't sound weird because he is looking for a color Scarlet isn't the most common one, I already gave a suggestion for Dolomite, in his rejection, it's obvious he doesn't want a stone to be the Version of it. Also, Why do you pressure him during the WIP stage of the game he Gave us information since the beginning of his game created if you actually read the first post he will tel you what he has and in some posts afterwards he says what he is trying to implement. You're pressuring him to do things that he yet hasn't gotten around to, your asking him to have every single thing in a Pokemon RPG, when he says this is a platformer meybe there will be no HMs since he could jump over a rock, maybe he will have HMs because there is a boulder to destroy. You're asking him about how pokemon will fly when so far he only has a Grass type and a normal type. Don't be so impatient and expectso much out of him and this game.

It his post it still says hes looking for a name :P

Ya, Scarlet isn't offical yet. Its just a placeholder until (or if) I find a better name.
