Robot Character

THE IDEA: I remember training myself to draw robots from a book entitled How To Draw Robots,Androids, And Cyborgs by Billy Davis. I began thinking about one of Davis' robot characters in particular, the "Oculavis". I decided to piece together a robot simillar to this. I decided to give the robot some octopus arms and a new set of legs. Thus, a new robot was born.

MATERIALS USED: *Crayola Crayons (I perfer them over colored pencils, simply because I like the effects of crayons better than colored pencils. It makes the drawing kinda look like it was done in Oil Pastels)

*Pencil
*Simple white eraser
*Thin tip sharpie mark (To ink it)

PROCESS:

1) Sketched in pencil
2) Inked In Sharpie
3) Removed any stray pencil lines from the sketch
4)Colored

Time took to create: About an hour and a half. It took me a lot of time to do it, basically. I think I tried my best, personally.

P.S: If I don't respond right away. It's because I'm in bed. It's nightime in my area, and it's getting rather late.

Hahah seems cool, though it could use some more mech-like things!!

Alrighty, thanks guys! I already have sort of an idea for the next one. But I might try adding some big ol' guns to the next guy, to make him look more like a 'bot.
