Um, starting to fall when you let go of the Jump Button is pretty much what Variable Jumping is.

*buzzer*

Variable jumping isnīt starting to fall when you let go the jump button, thatīd be a JUMP INTERRUPT. Variable jumping means the player can decide how high he will jump depending on how long he holds the key. By releasing the key, he should get a smaller boost upwards as if he IS holding the key, not a jump interrupt.
That should pretty much clear it up.

Darn. *Goes in to change it before Releasing V2.5*
Edit: V2.5 is out! New Features? Fixed Variable Jumping and Removal of Scripts! Editable Variables are now in the Create Event.

Wow, thatīs WAY better! Canīt find any glitches, and I am THE GLITCH MAGNET, like some MFGGers might want to call me. Much smoother collisions and variable jumpingīs fine now.

Thats far better, but we need to work on slowing the jumping. Its a little to fast. The skidding is also too slow. I'm not criticizing the engine i'm just showing what needs updates.

ZOMG WTC?! I gotta try this. XD I'll fix it in V2.875.
Edit: Well that was fun, I fixed the "Skid in Air" Glitch(Caused by my own stupidity)and V2.875 is out! Oh, and the reason for removal of Sprites in V2.5 is because of a Glitch that occurs because of Mario's Jumping Sprite being wider than his standing sprite.*coughwalljumpcough*

Wow, this keeps growing. One suggestion, donīt call it V6 when saying itīs a BETA at the same time, thatīd be V0.6 wink.gif

Lol, it's not V6.0, it's the 6th Addition to the Engine. That way I can keep track of how many Editions I've released. V1.0 will be when I have all of the SMB1 Physics, Items, and Enemies done. V2.0 will be when I have the SMB3 Physics, Items, and Enemies. Yes, I skipped SMB2 cause it was a Spin-Off. I MAY add Vegetable Carrying in V2.0, but I don't think I will.
Edit: Lolwut. My watch just started Beeping Happy B-Day. XD
