I could very well use Ultramario's Engine, which is Drag and Drop, so I could put much original stuff in it, or I could continue the crappy basic one I was making before and make a fangame without many vital elements. Would you guys rather have a extremely basic fangame over a more advanced one, just because it wouldn't be made with an engine? I promise too add stuff if engine.

Disclaimer: I don't mean to stereo-type, but from engine abusers, people might prefer no engine. Once again, I promise to add features.

I would MUCH rather you built your own engine from scratch. It's a learning experience and you could come up with some neat ideas that are impossible to add to the Ultramario Engine. -------------------- Falcon Punch is the result of the Sun heating fists. I think that is enough to convince me :S. Plus you are right, I don't even know where to start with that thing.
