3A. You can also set x to xview at the end step event.

But that makes you look LAME!

OH YEAH WELL I THINK YOU'RE A

4. Parallax backgrounds. In like every 2D game these days there are backgrounds that scroll funny. You can do this by drawing the background at xview/2 and yview/2, and you can change the 2 depending on how much you want it to scroll. Works best with multiple layers of background.

4A. Making it work
Often, you'll be wondering how to make lots of scrolling levels with different backgrounds--some might create a castle background object, a grassland background object, etc. Don't do this! Just have your background object draw a variable, and set the variable to whatever background you want in the room creation code!

How about this, I applied to my game that an object only moves when it's on the screen with the character, but when off screen, it doesn't activate. Sometimes the object, which is mostly the koopa falls under the ground. How can I fix that?

Disable gravity for that object until it comes on screen. Also: I don't know what script you're using, but if you have Koopas and the Floor both activating 16 pixels off screen, try making the Floor activate 32 pixels off screen and the Koopas continue activating at 16 pixels. This'll give the Koopas a solid landing zone ahead of time.
