Twilight Princess

I just tried TP for the first time, and it rocks!

I got very positively surprised, cause all my friends told me that they got very disappointed when they tried it.

One of my favorite Zelda games. Everything about the game is amazingly well done.

I agree. Only thing I would change is slightly more difficult bosses.

I really enjoyed it, but it wasn't the best. I thought it was about as good as Wind Waker. The boss battles were a bit too easy but I enjoyed the dungeons and the music.

OOT and Wind Waker still beat it in my book.




I'm interested to see what MFGG's opinion is on this game in this topic.

I loved the game. The only thing I would change is the boss difficulty. I would get rid of Ganon, and flesh Zant's character out more.

Yeah, harder bosses like from Majora's mask would be great!

Twilight Princess is really great don't get me wrong, but I get the feeling of "been here done that" when I play the game.

its the only 3d zelda game i havent beat yet.
i got it for the wii a while ago and am in the goron volcano mountain thing.
i think i would have beat it if i had gotten it for gamecube, and im sure ill go back and beat in during summer. its those damn controls.
when i first started i spent like half an hour trying to catch that stupid fish from the pond too. quite frustrating.

Yeah, Twilight Princess was awesome! However, like others in this topic, it could have been more difficult, especially the bosses. I also wouldn't mind more side quests.

A great game, but very disappointing. The first half of it is great, but the last half of it seemed very rushed. There is one good dungeon in the 2nd half though, I won't spoil it though, because it isn't exactly a dungeon and I thought it was very well done and an original idea. Plus it was one of the only things left from the 1st two trailers (Or atleast it felt like it).

And, the gameplay in TP, although easy, was really fun, and the bosses were cool.
But I hated the story, especially because of Midna.

Well, let me rephrase that.

I was disappointed in it. They had tons of awesome ideas, but they threw it together too quickly, and that was after tons of delays and even more hype.

Eh, Twilight Princess was alright. I thought the controls were too jumpy. I've always had that problem with GameCube controllers anyways. The Wii version was much better with the bow and slingshot, but I could have done without the sword swinging.

The graphics were pretty, but I wasn't too fond of the style they had going on. Everything was really over exaggerated and bulbous, if that makes sense. I hated nearly every character's design because of this. Like, with such detailed graphics, I would have expected more proportional characters.

On the note of characters, they really did a piss-poor job fleshing out some major ones. Zant and Ilia were the worst of the bunch. Both had great potential as characters, but they were pushed aside for the same old Zelda/Ganondorf combo. Wind Waker saw some of this, but at least Tetra's story was riveting and had a surprising twist.

The story was alright. It was very predictable at parts. The whole Ganondorf twist was really unnecessary, but at least we got to witness a redesigned him. I never had a problem with Midna as a character, but in the end I was happy that she locked herself away.

Boss battles were really easy. The dungeons felt too straightforward and rehashed. I was really annoyed by that constant camera cues given to you at the beginning of each room; the game pretty much solves what little puzzles there were for you! The items you got in the dungeons were rarely used outside of them, which was a big disappointment as well.

The music was okay. I've heard better from the Zelda series. In temrs of epicness, only the Hyrule Field theme can compete with Ocarina's or Majora's soundtrack. Most of the music was a little bland for my taste, especially when compared to the jaunty tunes from Wind Waker or the Medieval-ish songs from Ocarina. Good music, just not good for a Zelda game.


In short, a sub-par Zelda experience. Majora, Ocarina, and Wind Waker were all better in my opinion.

all for nothing. nothing came of him in the end. he's a useless character, and yet he had more development and involvement in the story than ganon. why?

that's my main beef with this game. otherwise it was pretty ****in' epic

I disliked the game, a lot. Maybe because I was using the Wii version, but the controls are annoying, and unintuitive, and the only portion of them that works come with a ****ing fairy that makes a lot of noise at the slightest movie.

The story was ridiculously dismal and obviously just a HERE YA GO to fans of OoT. The bug sections as the wolf were boring and annoying. Game is wholly not difficult (except for control issues) and you fight a grand total of four or five remotely challenging enemies.
