Alright, one of my comps suddenly stopped working a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, the thing wouldn't come on so we swapped the motherboard with an extra, It was enough to allow it to boot and run. But it seems to have a few problems.
1. Identifying the motherboard: Alright, so this is more of a problem with me than the comp. I'm sure if i can find out what model the motherboard is I can fix allot of the problems.
2. Integrated sound card is not working Ive gone through the usual checks, Speekers plugged into the right socket, speekers are good, Ive tested them on my MP3 player. Hardware cannot be enabled in the system.
3. System lockups. This seems to happen at random, ive not figured out a specific trigger.
4. Overheating. Fans are in place and working, after opening any program the fans rev up hard, Doing to much trips the overheat switch and immediately shuts down the system. The master hard drive and the processor are both getting verry hot.
I have run system restore, But to no effect.
Can anyone help?
