Immortality, Would you want it?

It's kind of hard to explain, but to me, the thought of living for 100+ years sounds terrifying. It's just too long. No way.

I wouldn't want physical immortality, no.

Being Christian, Its even scarier. You will have immortality no matter what. It all depends on how you will spend it. :S

In theory this would suck because if everyone could live forever, you'd not be allowed to have children anymore (unless you decide to pass away yourself).
... Thinking of that, this would probably be the direction to go: Either you live, or you have children that do so for you. That way the population would be regulated.

I'd be interested in eternal life, especially when it's not a curse (and the ones I want to spend the life with get that eternal life too). Because I'd like to see where history will go in the future. I'd just like to keep all options open, so that's why I'd be for it, given that there'd also be a solution for the above mentioned over-population.

Agreed, but you also have to admit jesus as your lord and savior.

I would absolutely HATE living forever. Seeing as how things are getting bad on this planet and only getting worse, plus the fact that any time I made friends I'd always out-live them, and...Yeah. I like the idea of eventually not living, because hey. All good things come to an end at some point.

As far the Bible, I think it's safe to say a lot of the historical things brought up (worldwide floods, Adam and Eve, etc) are crap given the lack of evidence and whatnot, and since we can't prove this whole afterlife thing, it should be taken with a grain of salt, or just ignored. You'll find out sooner or later, and if you're really anxious, put a bullet in your head!
