QUOTE
CHICAGO - Experts are telling Chicago residents to beware of the birds.

The fiercely territorial behaviour of red-winged blackbirds is being blamed on several recent dive-bomb attacks. The birds peck at unsuspecting bicyclists and pedestrians and swipe their hair.

Just ask Holly Grosso.

The businesswoman says she was pecked in the head. She calls the incident "so bizarre."

Field Museum ornithologist Doug Stotz says the birds favour parks and vacant lots near ponds and Lake Michigan.

Relief may come in late July, after their nesting season ends.

Note: I'm posting alternative news due to the fact my recent posting of sad news (and today's) is giving me negative comments about it.

Also the explanation is because of where they are making their nests, so people walking or riding bikes are sometimes close to them without realizing it, so the birds attack them for it.

Actually, the seagulls he trained for that movie were released back into the wild. Shortly before/after the movie was released, there were reports of seagulls attacking people, which led to more hype for the movie.
