I have no clue why they made an anime about a stupid kid who gives up his pokemon every 5 episodes and cries about it instead of this.

Unlike the anime, which revolves around Ash entirely. This is about the main characters of the games like Red, Gold, Blue, etc. It's not some ***** **** where they give up their pokemon and believe they need to love and cherish their friendships with them. They really do fight seriously and characters and pokemon really do die in this.

God, I love this manga. ;_;
