This isn't really Mario-related.

The game may have been "turned into" a Mario game in a sense, but it wasn't a Mario game yet when it was about Arabian characters.

if you'll notice, Mario and Luigi's overalls are reversed as well and the sound effect is still "BOM" so clearly the official art won't match up with the in game sprites, so I just rolled with what I thought would look decent

I'm pretty sure that Imajin eventually became Toad and Papa eventually became Mario, so I used those pallettes on those characters
