Ok, time for another one of my many Flash problems that may or may not be answered.
So, syncing sound. Yeah, I set it to stream. However, as my movie goes on, the sound slowly gets more out of sync - sometimes the sounds come to fast, and sometimes the opposite, as if the movie was moving faster than the sounds.

So, how would you go about fixing this? It's happened to me so many times and is one reason why I never finish my movies. :P

As far as I'm aware, this issue cannot be worked around with. Streaming sound works alright, but if/when the movie advances to over one minute or so, the desynchronization issues ensue.
Adobe has a page dedicated to Sound usage in Flash, try reading all the articles, not sure if it'll help but at least the source isn't mewtwo5245923's flash page.

I was afraid of that. Well, I'll look at some of the sound pages there
Another option is to just put the sound before or after whatever happens on the timeline, to make it sync up with the movie when it's exported. But I don't know if that'd work too well. It sure would be time consuming, trying to get it perfect.
Thanks.

when i have multiple sounds in my movie, i run a single sound file throughout the entire movie to accompany the individual sounds

the single sound file is absolutely silent, and it seems to stop syncing problems for me

Hm... I'll try that out. One thing, though - Is it one sound file that's really long so that it goes through the whole movie without having to put it in over and over, or is it a small, few second sound file that you do put in over and over? I'm thinking it's the first, but just to be sure.
Thanks.

You could make a really small one and set it to Loop forever from the frame's sound properties.

I made a 20 minute clip of nothing in audacity, and that seems to be working pretty well. It doesn't really hurt the filesize of the movie too bad, since it's... Well, nothing.

Well, thanks, you've helped me out a bunch.
