I used to play it a lot when I was younger. I still have hundreds of my cards in my closet.

I think I have only the standard deck and played against my brother for some time. But due to nobody else playing it, I lost interest =(
It was fun however.

All I have is a handful of some of the very first old cards.
To be honest, I never got into the card game.
And this is coming from a Pokemon series fanatic.

Never played it or seen it played, but the concept itself sounds cool.

I only got a few rare cards though, and I don't even remember what they are and where they are.

QUOTE (Fender @ Jun 30 2008, 09:16 AM)
i was more of a collector actually.
i would get a bunch and trade for holographics i didnt have.

this may be a little off topic but did anyone go to those toyrus conventions were if you traded you would get stamps and having stamps would get you a boulder badge and such?

I remember this. It was so awesome to me when I was little cause I'd get all these great promo cards I loved as well as the badges. Though, I was sick the one time they gave out the boulder badge, so I missed it. I think I got the Cascade badge, Thunder badge, and Rainbow badge.

I don't collect them anymore, but whenever I see them in stores, a part of me wants to buy a booster pack, just like back in the day.

I remember being so psyched when the Jungle expansion came out. I hadn't heard anything about it beforehand, so when I saw a huge display of them at KB Toys I was so excited. I got a holographic Clefable, too, which was cool.

The Fossil expansion didn't have me as excited, but I was still pretty psyched for it. I got 4 booster packs the day it came out.

Eh, well, I sometimes buy the cards just to see if I get some rare pokemans but I don't actually play the TCG game.

Not really. I did have a mild interest during the Fossil series, but after that, no.

yeah, i would go with my one friend and we would just trade in front of the people to get stamps and then give each other our cards back when they wouldn't be around.

i also very vaguely remember a lady probably in her 40-50s running up to me and trying to trade a golem mcdonalds toy for my holographic 1st edition prerelease aerodactyl card because she was gone the day they gave them out.

I went and dug up my favorites

Ah Pokemon Cards, how fun this tiny little concept used to be to all of us.
I remember that faithful day I opened my booster pack and sould be surprised to find a holographic pokemon, i'd freak out sometimes when it's a legendary, somestimes i'd moan for it being a holo trainer or badge card.

It will hold a part of me because its the reason why I started a trend in my elementry school, everyone was trading things like holo-graphic Ho-ohs or 1st edition Smeargles it was the best thing ever and it lasted for 2 weeks until it subsided.

last time I bought myself a card pack was last year got myself a holographic rhyperior with it.
maybe i'll buy more of them sooner or later when I have money.

I forget where I placed mine but I used to have quite a few when it first came out. And that was just the first gen cards. Though when I moved I lost most of them. Well I lost a lot of them after I first got them too. I think I tried playing people a few times before, it was ok, wasn't too fun. I know my cards are lying around somewhere, never play with them anymore but they still look kinda cool to me.

Anyone played the gameboy trading card game? My grandma bought me a guide for it and I had never even had the game

I used to play the game itself, but was never really enthusiastic about building decks and stuff. Truth is, I mostly just love the art. In fact, the first cards I ever got were Magnemite and Porygon as a gift from a friend. If I ever get any packs now, it's just to look at all the artwork. :3

Faithfully, for awhile. Then after I beat it it got very boring. And the replay value was next to null.

They made a TCG 2 for the GBC in Japan where (drum roll, please) you could actually be a girl! I played the game, and it was, engh... if you didn't like the first TCG game, you wouldn't like the second either.

I liked that they actually included Imakuni in the USA release of the TCG game though. He was so cool...

Last card game I cared about was Magic, but that was 3 years ago.
