| QUOTE (Fender @ Jun 30 2008, 09:16 AM) | i was more of a collector actually. i would get a bunch and trade for holographics i didnt have.
this may be a little off topic but did anyone go to those toyrus conventions were if you traded you would get stamps and having stamps would get you a boulder badge and such? |
I remember this. It was so awesome to me when I was little cause I'd get all these great promo cards I loved as well as the badges. Though, I was sick the one time they gave out the boulder badge, so I missed it. I think I got the Cascade badge, Thunder badge, and Rainbow badge.
I don't collect them anymore, but whenever I see them in stores, a part of me wants to buy a booster pack, just like back in the day.
I remember being so psyched when the Jungle expansion came out. I hadn't heard anything about it beforehand, so when I saw a huge display of them at KB Toys I was so excited. I got a holographic Clefable, too, which was cool.
The Fossil expansion didn't have me as excited, but I was still pretty psyched for it. I got 4 booster packs the day it came out.

Faithfully, for awhile. Then after I beat it it got very boring. And the replay value was next to null.
They made a TCG 2 for the GBC in Japan where (drum roll, please) you could actually be a girl! I played the game, and it was, engh... if you didn't like the first TCG game, you wouldn't like the second either.
I liked that they actually included Imakuni in the USA release of the TCG game though. He was so cool...
