Who wants a body massage? Group: Members Posts: 1993 Member No.: 2868 Joined: 28-October 06 Status: (0d)	I have a JPEG picture that has about 254 colors. I want to limit it to a pallete of 3, so it would bring all the colors to the closest color. I need a program to do this. If anyone knows how to do this in Photoshop Elements, I already have that. --------------------

So, a Pallette of 3 Colors? What do you want the 3 Colors to be?

No, I think he means that he needs to change the colors of some picture to only 3 colors. Like this:

If you do want dithering:

CODE

imconvert INPUTFILENAME -dither -colors 3 OUTPUTFILENAME

If you don't want dithering:

CODE

imconvert INPUTFILENAME +dither -colors 3 OUTPUTFILENAME

Of course. I gave it into Photoshop (mine is 7.0) and put the contrast higher so that it was only black and white. I did this two times, a brighter and a darker one. Then I colored them and gave them together + lil bit editing = *tadaa*
