| QUOTE (Mrs. Aforcer @ Jul 1 2008, 11:43 PM) | He does have a great sense of humour! So does Henkka! When I saw them last year in concert (Unia release tour), I wasn't sure just how well the rest of the band spoke English (I knew Tony was fluent), and I thought some of the jokes would be a bit... off. But nope! They're all great up there on stage (though Elias still felt a little... awkward; I think it's 'cause it was his first tour). Have you ever met Tony in person? I always wanted to, but I waited for, like, half an hour after the show, and he never came out (and downtown Hollywood is a bit scary at 2 in the morning, so I wanted to leave after that). I met Marko though! Kya!
B'aww, Blacknight614, so sad...!
Thanks alot, Dex. I've been on other forums before, so I know what's generally accepted and such. However, my vice is verbosity, which can be just as taxing. It's nice to meet you, too. |
That's awesome and no (,not yet! xD). 'Hope they'll play in germany again.

They probably will. I hope you get to meet Tony, too! He's cool. Did you meet any of the other members, then?
Thanks, Xloce, it means alot. My confidence in my writing wavers from time to time (read as: when conceited, angry AP English teachers with Napoleon complexes tell me I'll never amount to anything), so such comments really do mean alot.

| QUOTE (Xloce @ Jul 1 2008, 06:22 PM) | | AP English? Exceptionally impressive. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Fluent in Japanese and loves video gaming? I'm envious of Medaf now ^.^ . Conquetry aside, do you do any recreational sports? Hunting, fishing and such? |
I dropped it, though, so it's not such a feat. I found the AP system at our school to be corrupt and a waste-of-time. But that could just be my bruised ego talking. Not quite fluent; saying I am is a huge overestimation. Plus, I am the biggest failtruck at anything other than kana. Kanji is my mortal enemy. I;m taking Hapkido (Korean martial arts), but that aside... no, not really. I'm admittedly lazy and pretty weak. Unless you consider Brawl a sport, ha ha! Though I'd like to take fencing in next year.

| QUOTE (Draco Icebane @ Jul 1 2008, 06:33 PM) | English class is ridiculously easy, and it doesn't take much effort to do well in them.
Of course, they like to mark you for minor infractions and favor technicalities over sensibilities. |
Depends on your teacher. And your school. Regular English is a usually the simplest of the simple, but our AP program was this biggest load of bollocks I ever encountered in my 4 years of high school.
Heck, I did a ring of about 300 notecards with detailed information about historical and biblical events for reference during reading (for allusions, etc.), and got a D on it because my ring wasn't one inch. And it was worth a big chunk of my grade, too. I'll never forgive that teacher.

| QUOTE (Draco Icebane @ Jul 1 2008, 06:38 PM) | fortunately my schools are rather flexible in the methods you use as long as you don't cheat and you know what the hell you're writing about
and writing about dumb school crap is usually easy unless sheer laziness gets in the way
if i had been born japanese (or some other not-lazy culture) i would be so goddamned awesome, and i'd get to spam YOU TOO!!! on 2channel all the time too :< |
Lucky you, then. But I must say I'm rather grateful that colleges look at my school as one of the most prestigious private schools in Southern California due to it's level of it's difficulty. I guess every benefit comes with a price, huh?
Even then, it's not that hard unless sheer incapability to write well gets in the way.
Heh, it's not kosher displace the blame for one's own laziness. Culture is never the fault of one's own vices, but it is a good excuse for never fixing one's faults. Tee hee.

I hate it when teachers do that. I remember having no other paper but paper with three holes, and the teacher sprung a surprise essay on us. Said that we couldn't use paper with holes, couldn't ask another student for paper, and they wouldn't give us any paper, either.
Needless to say, I got a perfect, save what paper I put it on, marking my grade down to a B. Ugh. YOUR PAPER IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR PAPER'S CONTENT.

That's because teacher's rarely actually read your paper. They check your thesis and the length and base your grade on that.
'Cause teachers? Actually doing they're job? Ha, when does that actually ever happen!?
By the by, Xloce, I didn't notice your edited post, No, I don't play online, since I don't have a Wii (or any other video console, for that matter), but I do play as "Bunny" (blue Kirby) on Medaf's Wii from time to time.

You're really annoying. I can't access the CCC either because I get suspended too frequently for Aki Hoshino related infractions. |
Konnichiwa Glacko-face. Regretfully, yes.
Also, lulz at you.
