Having some 360 problems

About two days ago the color on my 360 have been messed up, making a lot of things green. I kept playing and it eventually went back to normal, but then messed up again. I shut the Xbox off and didn't play it till the next day. I turned it on and everything was fine for a couple of minutes, but it screwed up again. I shut it off again. I turned it on today, and it displays no picture, and everything on the screen is black with small white lines on it. It should be noted that occasionally I keep my 360 on for long periods of time, even when I go out. Could that be the reason for it? And do I need to send it in, or can I fix it somehow?

My friend had a similar problem, turns out his cables were bad. You could try different cables.

is the ring of the power button red? if so, you have to return your exbox to microsoft and eventually they will fix it... thats wat happened to my brother and ALL of his friends who had an xbox 360

No red rings, but I'm betting its the cables. I'll get some new cables from Best Buy or something.

It'd probably be better if you could find someone to borrow em off of, cause it'd suck if you bought the cables and it isn't the problem. Unless you can return them then nvm.

Yeah, I'm gonna ask my friend to bring his over and if they work I'll get some new ones.
