I like the style, but it won't really go well with other sprites. I think he's a bit tall.

Anyways, the style goes under half-cute for me. It's too.....tall. If you could shorten it down, that's be better.

I'd also suggest making the feet a bit more round. Cute things tend to have round edges. Nearly nothing sharp, unless it's suppose to be creepy-cute :P
