-Any one of the three Bonk games for the TG-16- All TG-16 classics, Bonk's Adventure, Bonk's Revenge, and Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure all star a caveman who literally uses his head to defeat enemies. You go through levels collecting fruit to gain health and meat to transform. Bonk 3 introduces candy, which allows you to change sizes depending on which one you eat. Bonk 3 also has simultaneous 2-player action.
Major drawback, however, is that Bonk 3 loses a lot of the luster that the first two had. The music is needlessly bland and often unfitting. And while I like games that have a finite feel to them, this one felt like an end to the series, and an unfitting one at that.
If Super Bonk or Chou Genjin 2 ever come to the Virtual Console, I'd recommend grabbing those as well.
-Bloody Wolf/Battle Rangers- Hilariously bad Engrish aside, if you got the TG-16 version, a lot of that was mopped up. It's a solid run-and-gunner that pits you as commandos Snake or Eagle against hordes of military *******s who kidnap the president. About halfway through the game, if you played as one commando, you switch over to the other as your buddy is kidnapped and you have to rescue him. A lot of really catchy music in this game, and probably some of the best on the TG-16. Stages 1, 4, and 5 and the boss themes are my favorites by far.
Major drawback, and I think a lot of frustration in the game comes from this, is that there are a few fights in which you're fighting guys using only your knife, but you've got army grunts raining bullets at you. The inevitable truth about these fights is that these guys will have their way with your ass a few times before you figure out their patterns.
