Hm, that was my particular favourite Sonic cartoon, and it'd be cool to see it all updated to modern green eyes Sonic and stuff. I'd probably watch a few episodes, heh...

But seriously, all this obsession with Sonic "Sat AM" and all the different times people have acted like it was coming back, I'm not exacty convinced. If it did, I'd probably watch it, though.

I anticipate that the fans will not like it, though. It's the rules, whenever a cult-loved show disappears for a decade plus and then reappears again, they usually tend to hate every change which has been made and feel it's just not as fulfilling as the original was.... Which makes sense being that they were kids back then.

Sega would probably make them change the Robotnik design and name, and the voice actors, too, which are fine, but just not as good as they were in the cartoon XD and I'll bet people would complaaaiiiiiiin!

Everybody at that "FUS" place seems to dispise Antoine. Antoine was freaking awesome.

antoine is like a secret weapon, he mopes around making everybody think he's so lame but then all of the sudden -- sacre bleu! he is stomping derrieres!

I'd rather see a new version of AoSth.

Aosth would be fine too, except he get to se Ixis and Mogul animated which is pretty cool.

Mogul is an Archie character. He wouldn't be in SatAm.

Jaleel White's Sonic voice sucks IMHO. I have no idea why some people think he was better than Ryan Drummond.

Considering it doesn't even seem we're getting the old game voice cast back any time soon...don't count on all the original voices.

Because they grew up with the Jileel White Sonic and became more attached to his laid-back, less-edgy comical form than his ridiculously serious Adventure+ form.

I can understand this perfectly. The current Sonic is trying way too hard to be cool and the new game has very crappy lines (which don't give their actors much to work with and make them sound like retards.)

What difference does the quality of lines make to how the voice sounds?


I don't dislike the Jaleel White Sonic voice because of any difference in Sonic's general attitude, incidentally; I just dislike the voice Jaleel White used for him, in and of itself.

It gives the characters their personality. It doesn't matter how lively you make "I need to go that way" sound, if that's all anybody says -- and in most new Sonic games, it generally is -- there's no personality regardless of the tone.

The older cartoons had a younger, less serious, much more lively Sonic with lines that very clearly showed a personality that was not composed primarily of "Look how COOL I am!" with a ridiculous emphasis on the "cool" to drill the point home.

I dunno but Drummond's voice sounds a bit "older" than White's, and since in the early Sonic cartoons Sonic's portrayed as being young-ish it sorta fits.

Either way, it was the 90s. Things that were "cool" then aren't neccessarily "cool" now.

Nobody cares about the stupid "voice actor wars".

They all suck at the end of the day. It's not like we're talking about Sir Ian McKellen vs. a B movie actor or something, it's about 3 Z-grade voice actors, who are pretty poor.

What the **** are they thinking trying to revive this. IT'S ****ING HORRIBLE. BRING AOSTH BACK YOU PRICKS.
