I mentioned this in the CCC a few days ago but I don't think I got a decent answer

My Lylat Wars/StarFox 64 Masterpiece on PAL Brawl ditches all of the classic voices in favour of the "classic" StarFox sounds, which suck in comparison (except Slippy). Does your VC/Brawl version of that game do the same? Just interested if Europe's been screwed over in that respect or whether it's something to do with voice actors wanting money.

The official N64 PAL cartridge does have voices btw.

Do you mean it has those "buh buh buh buh" noises whenever someone talks from the original Starfox

because my american version has all the original SF64 sounds, right down to the voices if that's what you mean

I think you can look in the options, you can change the Text-Language into English, France and German and The Voice into Englisch and Lylat(The Buh-Buh-Buh-Buh Thing) wink.gif

An easy way to figure this out is to try and get to the main menu by crashing or perhaps using the in-game pause menu. I know I've gotten to the title screens of games like Donkey Kong for at least a short while, and that's back before pause - exit screens, so you probably could manage to get to the title and then options of Star Fox 64 to check if they kept the English voice option and just set it to that, or if it's been removed for some reason.

Also does the PAL VC one run in 60Hz? Because Brawl's masterpiece won't and I was under the assumption they were all ported straight from the VC.

Yeah PAL versions included the classic SNES noises as an extra little bonus. You should be able to turn it off.
