Spriting Tutorials, Any good ones out there?

Are there any good spriting tutorials out there? Preferably NOT a pokemon one?

As long as it talks about many things about spriting (Revamping BETTER NOT BE THE MAIN FOCUS!!!!), then I'll be okay.

I know spriting is a bit of a skill you have to learn yourself, but I just want a little extra push into it.

actually tutorials for spriting in general are completely impossible or rather useless

Mario game style tuts can be found at tsr, only place I know.

Also, don't tell me to look at other people's sprites. That just leads to something that looks strikingly similar to what I was looking at.

it´s actually pretty hard to make a spriting tutorial that doesn´t follow a style
of course main things like explanation of AA could be included in something like that but yea

Until there´s a multi-tut we´ll be stuck with the tuts on tsr and other spriting sites which I don´t know.
Except tsgk, but I dunno if they´ve got tuts there.

A sprite tutorial teaches you the basic elements that would apply to all of your pixel art, such as shading, light sources, saturation, etc.

spriting has standards regardless of the style you know

I believe you only say this because you cannot sprite.

If you're looking for a specific style...

I'll search through most of those later. Some of it is actually stuff I visited previously.

@Latia: I think you need to stick to givng GML help. No offense.
Most of the tutorials I looked at followed a lightsource style, but I didn't mind. They were all in the same general style.
