Hey guys,

I've been working on an entirly new Super Mario Kart engine that includes skidding, more realistic movement and collisions.
But I'm a bit worried about the FPS rate and performance on some pc.
That's I'm asking you to help me by doing this FPS rate test.

Play this demo and check if:

-the FPS rate, displayed in the caption of the window is 100 FPS
-press ENTER to switch the room_speed to 1000 and check the maximum FPS rate

Then please post those two numbers in this topic.

Controls:

F: Accelerate
D: Jump
S: Use item
Left/Right: Steer
F2: Screenshot
F4: Switch window, fullscreen

To slip, jump and steer very hard to left/right

I tried the demo!

WIthout Pressing Enter: I get 100 Fps

When I pressed Enter: I get 263 Fps

oh btw it keeps saying it can´t load textures after clicking ignore.

I have found an error in this demo and this error says:
ERROR in

I got 100/244 fps, but I had Firefox running on the background.

Are you by any chance forcing the game run on maximum priority? Please don't do that, since controls become horribly delayed.

I'm impressed. The thing ran at about 100FPS.

Pressing enter boosted it to about 120FPS but lagged the controls, effectively making it unplayable.

I'm surprised. Even on MY computer, the game runs with no lag! But when I hit enter, the controls were really unresponsive, and I also got the errors Latia and Alba got.

Ran at 100 pressed enter got to the 290's i also saw it quickly jump to 310 at some points.Controls remained the same for me.

EDIT:I got it to stay above 300 and got 320 max.

Is this game supposed to be designed at 100fps.Keep in mind that if the refresh rate of the moniter is 60 a whole 40 frames isn't visible.

Wow. I'm certainly glad to see NSMK make a comeback, and I was pleasantly surprised by this demo.

The PC I'm on right now is rather crappy so I don't want to post misleading numbers, though even as the numbers fluctuated, it didn't seem to make a noticeable difference on-screen.

ca.100FPS without enter/170FPS with enter. Runs very fluidly on my PC. By side, I LOVE the NSMK-Series of yours.They were the Mario Karts for the PC that were the closest to the "real" thing. cool2.gif
