Why? The "simulation" and real deal are completely ****ing different.

It's a video game. You don't play only Mario if your a plumber who jumps on turtles. You play it to have fun.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

To start off with you can move your hand down so your index is on the red and your smallest finger is on the orange. Then reach with your index to the green.

Dumbest Post ever. Why? For most people, playing Guitar Hero makes it harder to play a Real Guitar, or at least that's what I've heard. <.<

Because most people who play guitar hero are idiots who think they can play guitar, but really they can't and have no way to make up for their utter stupidity.

It's for that reason why I dislike Guitar Hero. Sure, I own the game and play it once in a while, but it completely failed at simulating guitar-playing. Even so, people see Guitar Hero as something that takes skill and focus when it's the simplest ****ing video game ever. Meanwhile, the people who actually put time and effort into playing a real instrument are being looked down upon (or at least being compared to) those assholes who dedicate all the time they COULD be spending on a real guitar, which could eventually lead to a lot of respect and a good career, into a guitar simulator, which has absolutely no features except for pressing five ****ing colored buttons in different order. The losers who spend their time practicing Guitar Hero will eventually grow up to be just that. Losers. Guitar Hero is, more or less, a fun game. It's nothing to have a fit over, though. And even though the game is alright, playing an actual instrument and not a plastic controller is a lot more worthwile and pays off in the end.

I'd go into how I also hate people who are introduced to songs from GH and say "OMG THIS IS ON GUITAR HERO I HAVE BEAT IT ON XPURT WITH AN 45873433.734523 NOAT STREECK" whenever they hear it, but I know I'm not convincing anybody anything, which is okay because I don't give a **** what any of you have to say.

That's the purpose of the game. It's suppose to make it ridiculously easy to do so people that can't do anything can become a "guitar hero".

It's a ****ing video game. Stop comparing it to a real guitar. Some people have no passion for learning a real instrument and I don't see how that makes them any less entitled to play a damn video game.

I concede I do not know everyone in the world that plays guitar hero, however I haven't met a single person that thinks they can play a real guitar because they can play guitar hero. I have no idea where you draw this "most" statistic from.

They CAN do something though. What I'm saying is that these people who are putting time into becoming an "guitar hero" could be putting the same time into playing a real guitar, which would be better in the long run.

And rtsmarty, I'm just talking about people who literally dedicate their lives to playing Guitar Hero, which seems to be a fairly large group from my eyes. If you just play it casually, that's fine.

Yea. I don't have Rock Band, but I want to get my hands on it as soon as possible because I'm attracted to the drumming idea.
