So I was reading some articles about Wii Fit awhile, ago, and I found a very interesting facet of the game that Nintendo has done a very good job masking with it's upbeat and positive advertising. I've altered the image a bit to emphasize what Nintendo means by this precaution. Ironic, isn't it? But look on the bright side -- at least that $80 or $90 dollars you spent on the game won't go to unhealthy food, right? You may not think alot of people are actually this heavy. But, well... actually... alot of people are. Which is unfortunate indeed. But the point is -- these are the people that need the weight lost more than anyone. Not some 20-year-old rail thin guy in college who never has time to eat or some 13-year-old girl that doesn't even know the definition of cellulite yet, much less has any. I just think it's kinda funny. Anyways, discuss Wii Fit, MFGG. I'm curious what everyone's take on it is. This post has been edited by Mrs. Aforcer on Jul 15 2008, 11:22 PM

Sarcasm. It's a foreign language, apparently.
I meant this more as a general discussion of Wii Fit, but okay.

| QUOTE | Wii fit isn't for weight loss. You need a diet for that.
It's for maintaining your slimness. |
I thought part of weight loss was exercise?

Regarding the whole matter on "Wii Fit isn't about losing weight", if you do some of the stuff on there, it will get one moving a little bit. You might get a little bit of burn out of the deal, so yeah, it works out a little decently to some, I suppose.
Personally, I really like Wii Fit. In fact, it's part of my training regimen, as well as Wii Sports, and along with the other exercises that I do. Wii Fit, I can actually tell how fat or fit I've become and keep track of my record. Also not to mention the games / activities that are on there are actually fun.
Last thing that I will say is that Wii Fit should NEVER be the only thing being used just to stay fit or stay active or lose weight. It needs to be combined with the elements of proper eating habits and other exercises.

My humour is not well-taken, here, obviously.
I was hoping for Wii Fit discussion, but all I get are criticisms on my introduction joke.
Sigh. I shall haul myself on back to GC, then.

Indeed. It was meant as a joke. I'm glad someone realized.
