wow you guys sure know how to fail (here's a tip: if you're one of the people going "lol religious topic doomed to fail," "in before lock," "stupid thread gonna turn into a flamewar," etc., guess what? you are the problem. stop posting.) anyway I don't have a whole heck of a lot of time to write papers upon papers of information (I can already hear the cries of joy from the people that wouldn't end up reading it anyway), so in my place, here's a nice series of informative videos you can sit back and relax to watch and learn about the history of the universe: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=DB23537556D7AADB| QUOTE (delmoar) | | You guys are too harsh on him. thanks.
| QUOTE (orange452) | | but thats wat YOU believe, others can believe different, no one knows who is right or wrong when it comes to religion... just belive what You want to... |
there's actually some truth to this: nobody can have certainty when it comes to their religious beliefs. as far as religion goes, it's typically a game of "read some ancient scripture and hope it's right." however, this thinking usually doesn't apply to non-religion, especially the realm of science. that's more of a game of "research, hypothesize, find evidence, experiment, come up with results, compare the results to what's already known, accept or reject the theory, repeat." this is a logical game (with logical rules) of pursuing knowledge that's "right." acceptance of scientific knowledge and belief in religion need not be mutually exclusive, of course.
