| QUOTE (Draco Icebane @ Jul 23 2008, 08:23 PM) | I think I read wrong / am very tired or something. I don't remember what I was referencing with that.
Also, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all related languages. They pretty much share the Old Testament (under different names and with proper modifications.) I may be wrong since I haven't looked into this, but I think that Islam is the oldest of the three. |
Judaism's the oldest.
And Islam doesn't share the old testament, but Christianity and Islam do.
Although there are some things from the old testamant that Islam believes. Like, Adam, Abraham, Moses, and they even believe Jesus are all prophets, and Muhammad is the last prophet.
Basically, Judaism started with Abraham. Then one of Abraham's Sons, Isaac went on to be an ancestor of David, who was an ancestor of Jesus, so Christianity.
His other Son, who he had with his maid, Hagar, was named Ishmael, and he moved to the iran area, and was an ancestor to Muhammad, thus starting Islam.
So yeah, they're all related.
