Dogs VS Cats, A REALLY old debate

I prefer the cat's nature and general personality, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with dogs. But like some already said, perhaps they are a little too "kind".

Cats occasionally decide to sleep in your lap as you sit or by your feet as you sleep, and my two cats always hang around me when I'm outside. That's all the love I'll ever need from a pet.

Wow, there are way more cat supporters here than I thought. ^^

My aunt has these two dogs who would often knock me flying when I was little. Since then, I have had a fear of dogs.

Wow, I'm surprised by the number of cat fans.
I prefer dogs over cats for their stereotypical feminine appearance.

The most computer freaks love cats. Look at Francis from SPM, he's a cliche.

Probably because taking care of cats is ALOT easier.

I really like cats and dogs, it depends on the animal him/her self.

Dog. I have a German Shepherd myself.

Cats are much too feminine for my tastes. Plus most of them tend to just become spoiled/lazy anyway because they really aren't capable of doing anything useful like a dog can.

I can play tennis, Frisbee, soccer, and tug of war with him. We used to have races, but now he's just too fast, but it is still fun to let him chase me knowing in a few seconds I'd get tackled. Basically, I can play rough.

Well, I can see right now that you've never had rodent problems.

Cats are popular for hunting mice. (The dog correspondence is rats.)

Other than this, all dogs can do is make loud noises to chase burglars away. A fair few can physically prevent an intrusion of course.

Both can smell cancer.

This isn't really much benefit in the way of dogs' usefulness.

actually oddly enough, In both houses I lived in(illinois;Georgia), I haven't.

Even more shocking, I don't think I've seen a single wild rodent in my life.

I only had a dog in my whole life, so I'm saying dogs. But I've heard cats are just way too selfish and aggressive.

I think that's a reference to all the Japanese cat girls that are crowding the nets.

Dogs are more playful and loyal... but the wrong kind of dog could just end up being a pain in the neck.

cats are layed back, easy going, and fun to mess with... unless they're easily angered or like to inexplicably rip your heels off...

Big deal, my dog kills rats, cats, bats and brats.
