any way, I'd use game maker if you want to know how to program, but it also comes with D&D (Drag & Drop) icons whichj are just like the programming language but waaaaaaaaay simplier and easier to use. AND game maker comes with a foumr (gmc.yoyogames.com) where you can talk about your problems you have with GM, or almost anyhting gm related....

I've seen people make perfect sonic clones in MMF2, then perfect mario clones in Game maker and of course, perfect regular games in C++ So, Program created in doesn't matter.
