I did the test but I wouldn't be taken seriously since I'm an 08er

I doubt join date matters.

Well hopefully they wont base the winner on that; they should just base the winner on your results.

I might take the test, but I don't think I'm all that popular around here :L .

Meh, popular opinion probably isn't really going to be a big influence on things. Really the only reason I'd be very surprised if I were accepted, regardless of whether my test submission is good or not, is because I had an idea most of the mod staff (or at any rate the former mod staff) was dead-set against me ever being on staff at all, because they hated me about the "U"-related stuff back in the day. (I gathered this from a convo with a certain member once.) But that was mainly just forum-related, I guess.

Some feel that you speak too strongly against minor events, and occasionally do not check the setting / background facts before entering such a debate.

I don't really mind so much since I argue pretty similarly.

Well, admittedly I was acting a little butthurt when I said before that I didn't know why everyone hated me, but seriously, I can't help but feel I've always gotten the short end of the stick here on these forums.

Once, people hated me for "asskissing" (I wasn't). Then later on they (or specifically several of the mod staff) got on my case - to the point of verbally warning me - for bringing up a very legitimate concern about Irock's ban. Apparently I'm both a suck-up and a rebel towards the administration. Go figure.

And then there are all those miscellaneous other things, like when I was being yelled at to "shut up" and having my posts edited while arguing civilly about abortion; when I was being treated worse than the invaders were treated during the 4chan Attack just because I flipped out a bit at their horrible actions; when I was constantly attacked for no reason by people who decided they had a problem with my "long-ass posts"; and I could go on and on, probably.


Is it really any wonder why I have such a negative attitude about everything nowadays?

Every now and then he might get a little bent out of shape over something, and when he did everybody would jump on him for it, and this only upset him further so that flipping out would happen again sooner and worse

And he was treated so unfairly during all of this stuff that he didn't notice what he did do wrong in light of the bias (and if he did, he would confuse this with the parts he did not do wrong)

I get bashed for nonsense too, whether Creationism vs. Evolution or Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice or the various ethical issues of things.

And then people start expecting me to foolishly argue on stuff.

This is exactly what used to happen to me on another forum I was a member of. Things got so bad for me there, what with constant bashing and ridicule, that I eventually requested a permaban. So I know how you feel.

At least MFGG isn't quite so bad about that as that place was....

My fault for derailment, I suppose.

I guess we all should get back on topic....

If they based it on join date, Phage wouldn't have been made a QC mod last year, especially considering that he was an 06er

I would, but I wouldn't show up nearly often enough to actually be able to do anything, especially later on in the year.
