Super Mario Bros. 3 Advance, Short for SMB3A

This is my first mario fangame.

Hmm.. Yoshi looks impressive. I'll try this out.

EDIT: That was pretty fun! One of the few good changes to the Hello Engine 3. But I think that the installer and the resolution wasn't really necessary. But not bad for a first game!

For a first game it's not bad!
I don't like Hello's engine much... it's very slippy and slopes don't work like they should.
But yea, there's quite some creativity inside, and you actually changed and added stuff to the engine, so yea: for a first game, this is ok!

btw, is the player supposed to be able to go past levels without playing them?

Oh and also: I (and many others too) are not fans of installers and such... it would probably have worked to put all those files in a zip.

I have played this game, this game has changed the resolution of one of my computer, this game does not works well on this computer, and I think my another computer can not stand this high resolution.
I do not want change the resolution of this computer to a bad high resolution.

I'm going to release the better version of SMB3A by Mid August.

So there is no more resolution problem and level problem.

It looks very good.
Ill test it out soon.

Why the hell are you using bitmaps for screenshots?

Not bad game here are the glitches I found.


Glitches I found:

-Timer messing up (Going up and down when its not supposed to)
-You can skip levels
-If you are in a mini game with the Hammer Bros and you lose
you keep on going back in and out when you die...

Made with Hello's engine? Oh geez, here comes some serious lag for me...
I'll play. I'll edit in what I think after I play.

EDIT: This is pretty good, and it didn't lag for me very much!
I just have two problems.

1. The game froze when I hit the message block in the coin ship level...
2. When you lose a Hammer Bro battle, you need to make them move somewhere else. Otherwise you just keep entering the Hammer Bro battle.

This Game is Great! You made some good changes to Hello's engine, and the result is great! but you should take out the installer

Sorry about that, I did that in a hurry.

Very good for a first game, but I feel that the resolution change is rather unecessary and that you could go fullscreen instead.

I noticed several glitches:
*You can skip levels
*Regarding the music pack, two files cannot be extracted, I think it was "Land 2" and "Land 2 fast."
*When the music changes, there's a strange squeak.
*Problems with entering levels.

BTW, The next version will be release in Oct 7, 2008. (It's my brithday)

Great game, but it is nearly impossible to defeat Boom-Boom without a good item beforehand... I give it a 4/5. Also, this is way better than the old Hello engine.

(P.S. land2.mp3 and land2fast.mp3 do not work, so I put in my own music and it sounds AWESOME!)

I'm working at it now.

I really like this, especially the multiple abilities. Though I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do at the door on level one.

Throw the bomb nearby at it, though going through the big pipe earlier in the level will progress you to the next part.
