It's not really Sony's fault. Or the games industry in general. This is just how economics work.

If Okapi meat became a highly priced commodity in the Western world the same would happen.

Coltan is used in a wide variety of products and electronics. To name three of them: Laptops, GSM's, PC's, but there are many more. Cell phones have grown very popular the last decades and the production of these is enormous. In our class nearly everyone, (27 of 28 pupils) had a cell-phone. The same story for laptops and pc. Everyone who is looking at this post, topic has a computer or a laptop that is very lickly to have coltan in it. IMO we don't need to blaim Playstation alone, but the entire industrialised world -------------------- New Super Mario Kart: Nominated for the MFGG awards for game with highest replay value.
