On every single thing i see and overcast of a shadow I mean everything its normally supposed to be only windows and stuff but its everything on my screen (look at PNG) I mean its annoying because it distorts my text and everything.

i'm thinking its my Speakers (HP speakers bought em 3 weeks ago) I thought maybe they were magnitized, but the box states clearly that that is covered to prevent image distortion (I have a LCD monitor not a CRT) and I simply turn them off but it doesn't seem to work.

If you guys don't see what I see on my screen in the PNG below then its my eyesight, but tell me if you see it and if so is there something magnitizing my screen?

... I don't see a PNG. There's no URL when I quote your post ... did you forget to include it?

And ... what exactly is the problem? You're getting a drop-shadow effect on things that should not have them?

The only thing popped in my mind was anti-aliasing, but it may not be what you mean...

Look at the display properties.

you'd probably have to post a pic of the monitor itself while it's showing the effect

i'd try the auto-adjust button/menu entry to see if it helps

Even if the picture is affected by magnetization, the magnetization won't appear in a screen-shot

Lets see here.

Im assuming that you are getting a streached out shadow off of the text/cursor/anything bright over a dark background/ect.?

It just means your monitor refresh rate is to high.

In the control panel, click on "appearance and themes"
Then, click on "display"

this should bring up the display properties.
click on the "settings" tab
Then click "Advanced"
This will open the advanced settings.

Click "monitor"
in the middle you should see "refresh rate" or somthing like it.
The refresh rate is measured in "herts"
Try lowering this, you may need to click "apply" to test it.
